Static QR code · no expiry

Create a QR code that never expires

A static QR code stores your destination directly in its pattern. It has no subscription timer and no provider redirect to switch off—but the page it links to must remain available.

No renewalNo scan limitNo account dependency

Non-expiring static QR generator

Choose a stable URL you control. The destination is encoded directly, without an expiring short link.

Build for long-term scanning in three steps

Choose a durable URL

Prefer your own domain and a short path you can maintain for years.

Generate the static code

The URL becomes part of the QR pattern; no hosted redirect is inserted.

Archive and monitor

Keep the master SVG and periodically confirm the destination still loads.

Good uses for non-expiring QR codes

Long life

Equipment labels

Link serial-number labels to a stable support or maintenance page.

Reference

Books and reports

Use an institutional or owned-domain URL intended for archival access.

Property

Permanent signage

Connect plaques and visitor signs to a durable information page.

Example: a machine maintenance label

The QR points to a stable manual path on the manufacturer’s domain, not a campaign shortener.

What can break a “permanent” QR experience?

Using a rented short URL

If that redirect service closes or a plan ends, the printed code may lose its destination.

Moving the destination

Maintain a redirect on your own domain when reorganizing your website.

Printing on temporary material

Fading, scratches, folds, and low contrast can make an unchanged pattern unreadable.

Losing the source file

Archive the SVG, final destination, print date, and placement details together.

Non-expiring QR code FAQ

Do static QR codes really last forever?

The encoded pattern has no expiration date. Its practical life depends on the printed code remaining readable and the destination remaining available.

Is there a scan limit?

No. A static code can be scanned repeatedly without contacting this generator.

Can I change the destination later?

Not in the printed pattern. You can keep the same code only if you control the encoded URL and redirect it server-side.

Does SVG help a code last longer?

SVG helps preserve sharp print quality at different sizes. Physical durability still depends on the material and environment.
